Lamborghini First Digital Stamps Launched

If a collectible ain’t tangible, such as a video game’s bonus, it ain’t no collectible. I mean, lets face it, technology will become obsolete and if there isn’t a machine to load the “collectible”, then what’s the point of it anyways?

However, if you embrace digital collectibles and also have a thing for Lamborghini, you will be glad to know that the Italian supercar maker has partnered with Bitstamps to launch the automaker’s first collector’s digital stamp. Yup. Digital stamps.

I was an avid stamp collectors, but this digital stamp is something I find it hard to wrap my head. But anyways, here it is.

Lamborghini First Digital Stamps Launched
At €9.99 a pop, this digital-only stamp is certainly not cheap.

The digital stamp is being launched via an app designed to create and collect digital stamps. The first collab celebrates the Raging Bull marque’s Huracán EVO RWD Spyder – the latest Huracán from the automaker.

The stamp is part of the themed series dedicated to the history of the marque and over 20 of its most iconic cars.

The Huracán EVO RWD Spyder stamp is available starting today by downloading the Bitstamps App, and it will be issued in a limited and numbered edition of 20,000 (digital) pieces.

Lamborghini said that each stamp is a “single” digital object with its history and uniqueness guaranteed by Blockchain technology. Moreover, the stamp can be acquired, collected, or resold (on the soon-to-be-open Marketplace) just like its paper counterparts. It can be gifted too.

In addition to to admiring them in the collection album like you would with regular stamp albums, you get the boon of checking the progress of your collection and stamps that you have not yet acquired.

Bitstamps App is available for both Android OS as well as iOS.
