Lance Phan 3D Pixar-style Characters

These days, 3D animation’s realism is rather over-the-top and by ‘over-the-top’, we do mean in an awesome way. It is so freaking realistic that sometimes, it almost blur the line between what’s animation and what’s not. That is the immersion part doing the trick. Can you imagine a person who looks exactly like Elsa from Walt Disney’s Frozen in real life? I bet it will freak you out. So, nope. However, if you have ever wonder what real-life people may look like in as 3D cartoon characters, well, wonder no more cos’ 3D artist Lance Phan, who specializes in modelling characters, will show you exactly how with Pixar-style 3D cartoon characters based on real people.

The ability to imagine a character out of thin air is one thing, but turn a real person to look as though he or she was right out a Pixar animation while still looking like the actual person is a whole new level of artistry. The results are seriously stunning and while so, I am not sure if I will want to meet a person looking like a 3D animated character. Pardon me, for I am not sure how I will react when I come face to face with cartoon version of a living, breathing person. My best guess would be, I will probably freak out. Maybe faint even. But at the same time, I secretly wanted myself to look like a Pixar character and if you do too, the good news is, Lance does commissions too.

How much will he charge, I don’t know. If you have the secret desire to be Pixar-ated, may we suggest that you touch base with Lance to find out more. Now, if you will excuse me, I will need to dig my best portrait and approach Lance with my request. Keep going for a few more samples, or hit up the man’s Facebook, Instagram, or website for more of his works.
