More good news from LEGO for folks who adore the Star Wars prequels (1999–2005). The three Battle Droid figures from the Republic Juggernaut have backup: the LEGO Star Wars Battle of Felucia Separatist MTT (75435)—that’s if you’re willing to finance the Separatists with a grand US$159.99 investment. Galactic credits not accepted, by the way. You’ll need cold, hard cash to fund the Separatist cause.
Anyhoo, the LEGO Star Wars Battle of Felucia Separatist MTT (75435) is another brick-built Star Wars vehicle that will tickle the nostalgia of fans (including those who only learned to love the prequels after being turned off by the Skywalker saga). It uses a modest 976 pieces to recreate the Multi-Troop Transport that ferries the cold-blooded Battle Droids to the frontline. It’s as screen-accurate as it can be, given the part count.
A discreetly incorporated knob deploys the Battle Droid rack, allowing the six included Battle Droids to clip on and re-create the deployment scene. The side panels fold up to reveal a detailed interior, and since it can’t levitate like in the movie, hidden wheels let it roll smoothly while still looking like it’s floating.
When dismounted, one of the Battle Droids can cut through the battlefield on a brick-built STAP Speeder, which is stowed in the rear compartment. The speeder includes a transparent stand for display outside the MTT. The pilot cockpit has also been faithfully recreated. Meanwhile, the MTT packs two stud shooters to fend off approaching Galactic Republic forces.
In addition to the Battle Droids, the set includes two minifigures: Commander Bly and Aayla Secura. When completed, the Separatist MTT measures over 5.5 in. (15 cm) high, 11.5 in. (29 cm) long, and 5 in. (13 cm) wide, which makes it a perfect companion to the recently launched LEGO Republic Juggernaut.
