007 First Light Video Game

So many Bond films, so many shaken martinis… and yet, never a proper origin story. Until now. But it’s not on the big screen or in a dusty novel—it’s in a video game. 007 First Light is coming in 2026, and it’s the first time we’ll get to step into the scuffed shoes of a not-yet-licensed-to-kill James Bond.

Developed by IO Interactive—the folks behind Hitman—this third-person action-adventure takes us back to when Bond was just a 26-year-old Navy aircrewman with guts, instincts, and a knack for getting into trouble. Before the gadgets, before the one-liners, before the suits—this is Bond still figuring out if that’s a shaken drink or just a bad decision.

The game mixes stealth, combat, and very British espionage training with fast cars, beautiful locations, and characters like M, Q, and Moneypenny. There’s also Greenway, a mentor who will try to teach Bond how to stay alive—and maybe even follow a rule or two.

Coming to PS5 in 2026, 007 First Light promises to deliver all the action, danger, and dry wit you expect—just with fewer tuxedos and more growing pains. You can wishlist it now. Just don’t expect a quiet life. I mean, that’s expected, right?
