I don’t mean to mislead you guys – the magnetic levitation used in the Astrum Meera (designed by John Baltazar) concept car does not actually levitate the car off the ground, but more of improving the smoothness car ride and fuel efficiency through magnetic levitation of the wheels. You know theory: less friction means less resistance when the car moves, hence more fuel efficient. The Astrum Meera would have carbon dioxide sensors built into its twin exhausts for real-time monitoring of engine emissions. Hmmm, does it mean I would stop driving if the emissions show abnormality? I think not. Maybe we could skip that part. The concept would also feature retractable side mirrors with a camera, also viewable in the cockpit display.

This curvaceous sports car of the future is not a built prototype, but rather, it’s 3D rendered with backgrounds, making it all seem so believable, and had me searching for “where to buy” contact. Sigh. Reality can be so cruel.
