The Masters of the Universe community has spoken, and Lady Slither finally gets her digs. The Snake Lair Playset, long relegated to comic book lore, has slithered its way into reality thanks to Mattel Creations and over 6,000 very committed backers. Yes, Eternia’s most serpentine real estate project is happening.
This beast of a playset isn’t some modest snake pit either. We’re talking four levels of reptilian excess: throne room, capture devices, snake shackles, iron maiden, and even Lady Slither’s two-headed steed, Chimera. Toss in harpoon blasters, a snake head turret that spits projectiles, an elevator, a periscope, and a zipline, and you’ve got yourself a proper villain’s Airbnb. Of course, no lair is complete without a secret passage for dramatic escapes and an entire weapons rack for the Snake Men to bicker over.
Scaled to sit proudly next to Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain, the Snake Lair is massive—over 28 inches wide and nearly 30 inches tall. Packaging even comes with a holographic poster, so you know Mattel means business.
The crowdfund has already crossed its 6,000-backer target and is sitting at 101%, with just days left before the campaign ends on August 29, 2025. The Snake Lair Playset will set you back US$300.
