Do you know that the iconic default wallpaper on Microsoft’s Windows XP, dubbed Bliss, is not a computer-created image? It was an unedited photograph of the Los Carneros American Viticultural Area of California’s Wine Country. That image was just about as recognizable as Microsoft itself and clearly, it is anything but ugly. But here we have a so-called ugly sweater with that very image.
Microsoft Windows is injecting a whiff of nostalgia this holiday season with the return of Windows Ugly Sweaters featuring the iconic Bliss backdrop – complete with a mouse pointer to boot. As I have said, it is nowhere near ugly. If anything, it is super cool. The Microsoft Windows Ugly Sweaters were announced last month and were available in limited quantities. Not surprisingly, they were sold out. Oops.
