the idea of contact-less or non-contact charging is not new, and has been talked about since 1998. demonstrated as part of Nissan ‘Future’ technologies in the recent CEATEC Japan 2010, Nissan depicts their vision via the solar tree and Eporo robot cars. the demo, Eporo robot cars moved through a course around the solar tree, when the Eporo robot car runs out of power, it changes its course to enter into the non-contact charging lane and returns to normal lane when recharging is completed. well, i sure do hope this technology will come true.

what about nanotechnology coating that charges? wouldn’t it be nice if the car paint coating itself charges the car without charging station? hmmm. i know this technology is being explored. whatever it is, the future is an exciting place.
