Where other handset makers imitate Apple and Samsung’s naming convention with Pro, Pro Max, and/or Ultra, OnePlus does not. In addition to the OnePlus 15—which is clearly the “Pro”—there’s the “non-Pro” model in the form of the OnePlus Ace6. But the above is merely my speculation. Who knows, it may have a 15 Pro or 15R later? Anyhoo, so yes, there is the Ace in the market.

For the record, the Ace6 [CH] is not quite a watered-down version of the 15. It also rocks the industry’s first 165 Hz super-high refresh rate display, perfect for fast-paced mobile gaming. However, the display is not the same as the OnePlus 15. It’s outfitted with a larger 6.83-inch 1.5K LTPS (not LTPO) panel and has a slightly thicker bezel surrounding it.
Under the hood, it benefits from the so-called gaming three-core setup, but instead of an 8 Elite Gen 5, it gets the lesser Snapdragon 8 Elite featuring a new-generation “Fengchi gaming core,” working alongside the G2 gaming network chip and a “telepathy” touch chip.
The SoC is bolstered by LPDDR5x and UFS 4.1, which are the same as the flagship device. Also under the hood is an all-new glacier heat dissipation system that promises twice the heat removal, along with a significantly larger 7,800 mAh “glacier” battery with 120 W super flash charging (wired). There’s no wireless charging, though.

The imaging is the other major difference. It has two imaging units on the small rectangular camera bump. There’s a 50 MP Sony IMX906 sensor-equipped wide-angle main camera that benefits from an f/1.8 6P element lens, OIS, EIS, and AF, and a 16 MP super wide-angle camera with an f/2.4 4P element lens. Over on the front is a hole-punch selfie camera with 16 MP. The main camera supports up to 4K 120 fps video recording, while the front is good for up to 1080p 30 fps.
Other spec-sheet details include a multi-functional button, IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K rating for water resistance, dual nano SIM, aluminum frame with glass back, crystal shield glass for the screen, dual-speaker setup, X-linear haptic motor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and the garden variety of positioning and sensors.
The new OnePlus Ace6 was launched in China with three colorways and five configurations—12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB—and a starting price of just 2,599 yuan [CH] (about US$366).
