anything that falls into the category of the cool and the sleek would be featured here and the Pentax K-01 Digital Camera just happens to be one of those that belongs to that aforementioned category. designed by industrial designer Marc Newson, the K-01 bears a somewhat retro outlook and goes on the now-popular mirrorless route. under the hood, it has a 16.0-megapixels APS-C CMOS sensor that is capable of full HD 1080p video recording (@ 30-fps), fast 6-fps burst mode, focus peaking mode and a flexible ISO range of 100-25,600. other features include a durable machined aluminum frame, compatibility with over 25 million Pentax K-mount lenses, and high resolution 3-inch LCD. thanks to its deliciously retro beauty, we will look past the fact that it has no optical viewfinder. the Pentax K-01 Digital Camera will be available in yellow, black and white this March for $749.95 (body only) and $899.95 (body with the DA 40mm XS lens kit). the camera will come package with Marc Newson designed packaging with the Marc Newson designed camera strap. more images of the K-01 after the break.
