Super fans of Garfield, celebrate the birthday of the world’s laziest cat who hates Monday despite not having to work at all with this adorable collectible collaborative figure from POPMART. Meet the POPMART Mega Space Molly 400% Garfield, where the iconic SPACE MOLLY gets the Garfield makeover.
The familiar getup of the space exploring MOLLY is treated to an orange and yellow colorway with the Garfield branding on the space suit’s name tag and a helmet with a visor featuring the lasagna-loving orange cat’s face—complete with a pair of ears. And oh yes, the space suit has the cat’s tail.
MOLLY’s space exploration video camera is given the orange-striped cat treatment too. Both the ears and the tail are magnetically attached to the figure. The arms have some level of posability. The right hand is designated as the camera-holding hand. I believe you will have to remove the ears to put the visor in an open state.
Anyhoo, as the Space Molly, it is a display figure. You can move the arms, and open the visor but those are about it. There are two versions—differing only in the expression. Version A has a sly look while Version B is an angry expression.
The POPMART MEGA SPACE MOLLY 400% Garfield was released on June 24, 2024, and depending on where you buy it, the price ranges from 1,516 yuan to 1,750 yuan (around US$209-US$241).
