You do not have own a Porsche 911 S/T to own a Chronograph 1 timepiece. You can still own it, albeit not inspired by the celebratory, limited-edition ride. Folks, meet the Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Edition which is equally meaningful for any Porsche owners and petrolheads.
To mark the 75 years of Porsche, Porsche Design has launched the Chronograph 1 – 75 Years of Porsche Edition. For those who don’t know, the Chronograph I was the first timepiece developed by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche in 1972 to mark the foundation of Porsche Design.
The Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Edition pays homage to the original, among other things, with a Funchs rotor including a colored Porsche emblem under a sapphire crystal.
It is powered by the COSC-certified Porsche Design calibre WERK 01.140 automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve and features a case made of high-quality titanium with a black titanium carbide coating.
This commemorative timepiece also rocks a specially developed textile/leather strap with light blue decorative stitching and a woven red stripe in the middle – designed in the colors of the 75th-anniversary logo. The chronograph timepiece is available in a black leather strap with matching black stitching.
Other highlights include a threaded crown and case back, water resistance to 5 bar, sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating, sapphire glass case back, and a Tachymeteric scale.
The Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 75 Years Porsche Edition is a special model strictly limited to 475 pieces, each commanding a cool US$11,000.
