Set to be available in early February, the PENTAX WG-90 digital camera is part of the rugged WG series – which is now under the PENTAX brand known for dustproof, waterproof, and weather-resistant products. The WG-90 is designed for all-weather adventure photography.

It is waterproof and features a lightweight body, a five-times optical zoom lens covering a focal length equivalent to 28mm-140mm in 35mm format, and a 16-megapixel CMOS image sensor. Oh, for those adventurers who love to capture stuff up close, this little guy offers 1 cm Macro mode, bolstered by six LED Macro Lights in case you need to light up your subject. Speaking of lights… this little rugged snapper offers high sensitivity up to ISO 6400, producing high-resolution images.

The WG-90 is designed to function in harsh conditions, with a monitor that adjusts brightness for outdoor visibility and a built-in ring light supporting a Digital Microscope mode for capturing detailed close-up images. It’s waterproof up to 46 feet (14 meters), shockproof from 5 feet (1.6 meters), and freeze-proof to 14°F (-10°C). As if those aren’t enough, this compact digital camera is also crushproof to 100 kgf (220 lbf).
