In the world seemingly overtaken by smartwatches, traditional timepieces feel even more like works of art. That said, if you appreciate the traditional timepiece, you may be able to appreciate Romain Gauthier’s newest timepiece, Continuum.
For the launch of Continuum, independent watchmaker Romain Gauthier presents the first edition in titanium, aptly called Continuum, Titanium Edition One.
Inspired by the finger bridges style, the design of the movement in this exquisite timepiece follows the watchmaking history of the Vallée de Joux, with a modern approach, reflecting Romain’s vision of the evolution of tradition.
The Romain Gauthier Continuum Titanium Edition One comes presented in a 41 x 9.5 mm case in natural Grade 5 titanium and a sandblasted natural Grade 5 titanium dial. It is supplied with a grey rubber strap with a specially developed, satin-finished, and polished natural Grade 5 titanium pin buckle.
Under the hood, it is powered by an in-house hand-wound movement which features a stop balance with snail cam.
The Romain Gauthier Continuum Titanium Edition One is a 28-piece limited edition timepiece, engraved with “1 of 28” on the back of each movement.
The Romain Gauthier Continuum Titanium Edition One is available for 37,000 Swiss francs, which works out to be around US$40,300 based on the current going rate.
