RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro rugged smartphone with detachable magnetic action camera module on the back revealed at MWC 2026
The RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro rugged phone introduces a removable magnetic action camera, turning the device into a hands-free POV filming tool.

Ever wish your phone could double as an action cam and survive anything your adventure throws at it? If that sounds like your dream gadget, the Robot Phone will not be it. Sure, it may pass as an action cam, or maybe a lifecam, but surviving a day in the wilderness is probably asking too much. What you need instead is something built for abuse, like the new Ulefone RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro.

From the other maestro of rugged gadgets, the Ulefone RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro isn’t just a rugged phone. It is the world’s first rugged device with a removable magnetic action camera.

It kind of makes sense if you think about it. Rugged phones are already unapologetically chunky, and they have the volume to accommodate a tiny rugged imaging device. I mean, if it gets any chunkier, it would be forgiven, since it is a rugged device after all.

Not a lot is known about this device, which was revealed in Barcelona at MWC 2026, well, at least not for those who were not there.

Anyhoo, according to Ulefone, it has a camera module that “borrows the best of the action camera DNA.” The result is a removable thumb-sized imaging device located at the top left corner of the back cover.

When attached to the phone, the device charges the tiny camera and lets you view what the camera sees, as well as control it. The cam is magnetic, allowing it to attach securely to various places and enabling hands-free POV filming in a variety of environments.

The phone is outfitted with a 120 Hz 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 5G chip, bolstered by 12 GB RAM plus 12 GB Dynamic RAM, and packing 512 GB of storage.

As far as onboard, non-removable imaging goes, it has a 32 MP front-facing camera. Around the back, there is a 50 MP AI camera with OIS and a 64 MP night vision camera, which should have day and night covered.

It is a chunky device, and rightly so. Not only does it have an action camera around the back, but it also packs a massive 9,000 mAh battery with support for 45 W wired charging.

The device runs on Android 16 and supports eSIM, along with 5G, 4G, 3G, and even 2G networks.

As for price and availability, they have not been announced yet.

Fun fact: RugOne is a new rugged exploration brand incubated and launched by Ulefone in 2025. So, rather than calling this device the Ulefone RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro, it should be just RugOne Xsnap 7 Pro.
