Samsung Wallet has expanded its Digital Key support to select Porsche models, starting with the new Porsche Macan (MY26) and extending to upcoming models, including the Porsche Cayenne Electric. With a compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphone, drivers can lock, unlock, and start their vehicle directly from Samsung Wallet, removing the need for a physical key.
Digital Keys are stored securely within Samsung Wallet and protected by EAL6+ hardware-level security alongside Samsung Knox. Access can be shared wirelessly with trusted contacts, with permissions easily granted or revoked at any time. If a device is lost or stolen, keys can be remotely locked or deleted using Samsung Find. Depending on the vehicle, access is enabled through Ultra-Wideband or NFC technologies following the Car Connectivity Consortium standards.
Setup is handled through the My Porsche app, allowing users to link their vehicle and add the Digital Key to Samsung Wallet in a few guided steps.
