Tabletop RPG game maker Modiphius Entertainment is now taking pre-orders for three new products for the Star Trek Adventures table RPG. One of the most notable products is also one of the most collectible: the Star Trek Adventures: Tricorder Collector’s Box Set.

Star Trek Adventures Tricorder Collector’s Box Set

The Star Trek Adventures: Tricorder Collector’s Box Set, as the name implies, comes presented in the iconic Tricorder, thus making it the first “wearable” tabletop RPG. The tricorder itself is made out of a durable ultra-density board and features paneling and texture designs based on the original tricorder prop.

However, instead of scanning the environment, recording data, and executing data analysis, this Tricorder opens to all the materials and paraphernalia for a game of Star Trek Adventures tabletop RPG.

Opening up the magnetic flap reveals a 304-page digest-size core rulebook, campaign booklet, rules summary sheets, dice, tokens, and character cards for both the crew of the NCC-1701 U.S.S. Enterprise and the crew of the U.S.S. Lexington (featured in the Star Trek Adventures living campaign and the forthcoming Shackleton Expanse Campaign Guide).

Each component is presented in the style of the original series, with the full-color digest edition core rulebook boasting a graphic design based on the screen displays and color scheme of the original series’ Enterprise. The dice are your usual dice either; it has colors that match that of Captain Kirk’s tunic in green and gold. The set is perfect for Trekkies and tabletop RPG fans who are on the move as well as cosplayers.
