If you are down for a luxury timepiece with bold accents that scream speed, then the TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche Orange Racing may be a worthy candidate for your wrist. This is the sixth TAG Heuer and Porsche timepiece.
Outlined in bold racing-inspired orange, the TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche Orange Racing features a striking black dial with a texture that recalls the racetrack marks on the tarmac with a vertical brushed finish.
At a glance, it creates an illusion that the surface under the chronographs is racing past at high speed. Yeah. It is a fast watch but thankfully only aesthetically and not the time.
The precise timing is enabled by an in-house developed Calibre Heuer 02 Automatic Chronograph packing an incredible 80 hours of power reserve.
In addition to the usual hours, minutes, and seconds, it has a 1/4 second, a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, and a date window.
The watch further features a 44 mm black DLC steel case paired with a black ceramic bezel (fixed), and a black calfskin leather strap with folding clasp push-buttons – all contrasted by said orange details.
The band not only has striking orange stitchings; the entire flip side is in orange. Very, very cool. What can I say? We are suckers for the orange hue.
Around the back, it has a sapphire case back that shows off the Automatic Chronograph movement and the custom-designed oscillating mass which takes on the form of the famous Porsche steering wheel.
