Harley-Davidson’s Planned Electric Bikes In Flesh And More LiveWire News

You saw the concept arts, now see Harley-Davidson two planned radical electric motorcycles in flesh. They are unnamed still, though. As previously reported, there’s one moped-like motorcycle for the city and a scrambler-like model designed for off-road, or go anywhere, to be precise. Man, I am so digging the moped-like electric two-wheeler. It looked absolutely dope. The fact that it does not even look like a motorcycle is what makes it so rad. This Is Harley Davidson’s Production-ready LiveWire Electric Bike

Along with the production-ready model, Harley-Davidson also brought to the table some specification and details. Well, not so much of specifications to talk about, really, but it does have some details. Continue reading This Is Harley Davidson’s Production-ready LiveWire Electric Bike

American bike maker, Harley-Davidson, first unveiled its plan to get into the electric movement with Project LiveWire back in 2014. Fast forward to 2018, the company confirms that the 2014 concept will be available as soon as next year. However, while there is light at the end of the tunnel for the 4-year-old concept, details remain scarce at this point. This Is Project LiveWire, Harley-Davidson’s First Electric Motorcycle

think Harley and the image of bad boys, tattoos and ground-shaking, rumbling sound comes to mind. in fact, that throaty growl has been Harley’s trademark for like, forever, and honestly, though we may not be the biggest of fans of Harley, we cannot imagine a ride bearing the legendary namesake and yet cruises without that signature roar. as it turns out, the inevitable has just unfold with the introduction of the U.S. bike maker’s first electric motorcycle. yes. Harley has gone electric, which might sounds preposterous to die-hard fans, but we will let you be the judge. not only did Harley takes on a whole new drive, it also has a look that’s, well, very un-Harley to say the least. but i guess, at some point, motorcycle makers have to take the electrifying plunge, letting go of the past and march towards the future, and this case, electric seems to be the future. Bell & Ross B-Rocket Concept Bike

2011 marked the year Bell & Ross successfully transited from the air to the ground with a special collab with Shaw Harley-Davidson Speed & Custom. three years on, the French luxury watch company is reaffirming their foothold on the ground with the radical and retro-licious B-Rocket Concept Bike. our initial thoughts when we first lay eyes on the B-Rocket were, ‘did Bell & Ross dig something out from its archive to show us?’ nope. apparently not. part airplane, part motorcycle, this two-wheeler is the latest collaboration with Shaw Harley-Davidson featuring unique blend of aerodynamic lines that evoke the experimental aviation of the 60s and the speed bikes that are destined to set records on salt lake at Bonneville. Harley Panhead by Noise Cycles

i don’t profess to know all about motorcycles, even though at one time, i used to repair reccee motorcycles in the service, but i do know a two-wheel beauty when i see one, such as this Harley Panhead as custom by California-based custom motorcycle builder, Noise Cycles. the fact that this 1952 Harley Panhead has been crowned the ‘Best of Show’ at the top custom bike event in the United States, Born Free 5, says a lot about this custom two-wheeler (and to certain extend, my taste, if i may say so myself). nested within the Panhead swingarm frame is a 88ci 1962 EL Panhead motor, paired to an S&S dual throat carb, while power transfer is by the way of a Barnetts high performance clutch. Carducci SC3 Adventure Dual Sport Motorcycle

stop lamenting about why Harley-Davidson doesn’t have an off-roader. it is just… not meant to be. however, if you have a Harley David 883 or 1200 sportster born between 1993 and 2003 laying around, then we have good news for you. now, you can officially shake off the “social stigma” of a non-badass cruising around like a poser (hopefully not) by letting the folks at the Carducci Dual Sport turn that old sportsters of yours into a badass off-road two-wheelers, affectionately dubbed as the Carducci SC3 Adventure Dual Sport Motorcycle. so why dual sport? because, this born again Carducci-Harley can now comfortably tackle both on and off-road terrains, extending your fun with a Harley, though it don’t quite look like one anymore. hard to imagine what purists would think, but anyway, who cares as long it pleases your eyes and satisfy your need for the beaten trails? Harley Fat Boy Shadow Rocket by Rough Crafts
Harley-Davidson is pretty much a manly thing but if that isn’t enough, perhaps a stealth makeover should up its manliness ante by a notch or two. well, in this case, stealth does not really mean coating the bike with radar-absorbing material (you know that right?) but it is more of an all out dark, black treatment plus some custom parts and to this end, no one does it better than Winston Yeh’s Rough Crafts whose speciality is serving up custom Harley (and parts). his latest example is this Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Shadow Rocket that’s based on a 2002 FLSTF Softail Continue reading Harley Fat Boy Shadow Rocket by Rough Crafts
