If you really think about it. Transformers’ Optimus Prime is kind of lame. I mean, he is the leader of the Autobot, but look at him. He is only but a prime mover, AKA semi, which is hardly intimidating, really. A Filipino-American artist, Don Figueroa, probably thought the same when he reimagined Optimus Prime into a Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime for a Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover comic. Not only Don’s Prime won’t be so lame, it will now strike fear in his enemies both as a robot and as a vehicle. Man, look at those weapon system! Who needs to throw punches anymore? thanks to LEGO whiz like Orion Pax aka Alex Jones, we are beginning to shy away from official LEGO movie franchise products. if you haven’t strayed like us, then you must not have seen the LEGO Ghostbusters Headquarters or this LEGO DeLorean Time Machine. by the look of the images, we hardly need to explain why Alex’s rendition of Doc Brown’s 88 miles an hour DeLorean is absolutely cool and this LEGO enthusiast’s version will definitely put LEGO’s own official sets to shame. some of the features include a metallic spray painted “chassis”, working gull wing doors, working fold-up wheels, and of course, a display stand to proudly display Orion Pax’s work of art, complete with a vehicle information board – just like what you would find in the beloved LEGO UCS items. whether you missed out the auction or simply can’t afford the insane (but for a good cause, of course) amount for a pair of the Back to the Future Nike MAG replica, then you probably want to consider making one yourself, out of LEGO. that was exactly what one dude, Alex aka Orion Pax did and it looks pretty cool too, well, at least in LEGO point of view. the downside is, you probably can’t wear it without breaking it apart and plus, it is guaranteed to be the most uncomfortable footwear ever. then again, if you are one of the 1,500 lucky (and filthy rich) folk to score this limited edition replica footwear, then i bet you won’t want to wear it too. it deserves to be displayed behind a bulletproof display showcase. another look at this LEGO Nike MAG after the break.
