Toyota Camry GT-S Concept

If you love touring car series like BTCC, DTM, Supercars Championship, and more, you are going to love what Toyota did with its latest-generation Camry. I know. The Camry is not widely used by race teams, but maybe, just maybe, it will be up for consideration once they lay eyes on the Toyota Camry GT-S Concept. Debuted at SEMA 2025 last month, this Camry shows what the family sedan can be with a heavy dose of motorsport attitude. OK. Maybe not with that ride height, but you get the idea.

Toyota took a 2025 Camry XSE AWD Hybrid and fitted it with an aggressive aerodynamic package. The result is a Camry that finally looks like it has been spending time around touring cars instead of shopping malls. It has the stance, the presence, and just enough race influence without turning into something completely unreasonable. The drivetrain stays stock, so the 2.5-liter inline-four hybrid still produces a respectable 232 horsepower. Toyota clearly wanted to keep this grounded in reality rather than turning it into a full-blown race car.

The exterior wears the full GT-S treatment: newly sculpted front and side aero pieces, a revised rear bumper shaped to work with a performance exhaust, and a bright “Inferno Flare” paint finish that leaves no doubt about its intentions. Adjustable coilovers lower the car by 1.5 inches (38 mm). The brakes are upgraded with massive 8-piston calipers squeezing 365 mm front rotors and 6-piston calipers paired with 356 mm rear rotors. Filling the wheel wells are 20-inch performance wheels wrapped in 245/35R20 tires for proper mechanical grip.

Inside, it remains pure Camry, reinforcing the idea that this is still a daily driver at heart—just one with weekend track-day dreams.

The Toyota Camry GT-S Concept is not for sale. But who knows? We might just get a Camry XSE AWD Hybrid GT-S for real in not so distant future? So keep your fingers crossed, my fellow touring car series enthusiasts. And yes. I was a huge fan in the 90s. So much so, I have had to “drive” these awesome machines in the TOCA Touring Car Championship video game.
