There are e-bikes and then there are Vanpowers Smart E-bikes. There are many options in the market but Vanpowers caught our eyes with its sleek, somewhat futuristic design, and because it is hitting up CES 2024 with two new e-bikes: the all-terrain GrandTeton and the urban-friendly UrbanCross.
Both feature cutting-edge anti-theft tech, including motor locks and GPS tracking. The UrbanCross, perfect for city commuting, features a Shimano GRX groupset, flared gravel handlebar, advanced gravel frame, and more, and boasts up to 62 miles (100 km) range.
The GrandTeton, on the other hand, is an adventurer’s dream, with a 130 Nm motor, speeds up to 20 mph (32 km/h), and it is outfitted with a 692 Wh lithium-ion battery that provides up to 110 miles (180 km) range when paired with an optional bank.
Safety is key with reliable brakes and a robust design. The Tektro 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes enable riders to decelerate from 28 mph (45 km/h) to a complete stop within 10 meters (32 feet) without overheating or failure.
Rounding up the feature list are widened seat and pedals, a 120 mm travel air suspension fork, and a weight capacity of up to 400 lbs (181 kg).
Both bikes will be up for pre-order in 2024. Pricing has not been disclosed but you can probably find out if you hit up Vanpowers booth (#56526) at the Venetian Expo, Level 2, Halls A-D, at CES 2024.
