While some may consider ZENITH in general rather flamboyant, the brand has had its fair share of pop culture moments. It may not have colors that pop like Audemars Piguet’s pocket watch collab with Swatch, but oh boy, the pop-culture influence is strong thanks to the timepiece worn by Daisuke Jigen in the celebrated Japanese anime series Lupin The 3rd.
Now, ZENITH has made it real. It has unveiled the fourth limited edition paying tribute to Daisuke Jigen’s iconic watch from the legendary manga. Folks, meet the ZENITH CHRONOMASTER Revival Daisuke Jigen Edition, a watch that is as sleek and suave as the gunslinger himself.
No really. It absolutely evokes the Daisuke Jigen vibe and makes you want to strike the quick-draw pose the moment you set eyes on it. Not going to lie, I was enamored. I honestly wonder how we missed featuring this when it was announced back in November 2025.
The CHRONOMASTER Revival Daisuke Jigen Edition is based on the fictional ZENITH-inspired watch worn by Lupin’s trusted sharpshooter companion in the anime adaptation that debuted in 1971. Funny thing is, the watch never actually existed. The animators simply drew something inspired by the legendary A384 chronograph. Decades later, ZENITH decided fiction deserved to become reality.
This latest edition takes the tribute further than before. The watch comes housed in a 37 mm matte black microblasted titanium case that looks stealthy enough to belong in Jigen’s suit holster alongside his revolver. The titanium construction also keeps things lightweight while giving the watch a very distinct tactical look.
The beige dial is paired with contrasting black chronograph counters and tachymeter scale, while the hands and applied markers are filled with beige Super-LumiNova for a warm vintage aesthetic. It walks a very fine line between retro chronograph and anime memorabilia, and somehow manages to pull off both.
Inside beats the El Primero 400 calibre, a direct descendant of ZENITH’s legendary 1969 high-frequency chronograph movement. Developed and manufactured entirely in-house, the movement operates at 5 Hz (36,000 VpH), offers tenth-of-a-second precision, and delivers a 50-hour power reserve. Through the sapphire caseback, owners can admire the movement alongside the unmistakable silhouette of Daisuke Jigen himself.
The watch is paired with the iconic Gay Frères-designed ladder bracelet first introduced in 1969 for early El Primero models like the A384, A385, and A386. Here, it has been reinterpreted in matte-finished titanium to match the case.
Limited to just 200 pieces worldwide, the ZENITH CHRONOMASTER Revival Daisuke Jigen Edition originally retailed for 1,430,000 yen in Japan and US$11,600 in the U.S. At this point, though, finding one at retail is probably about as difficult as outdrawing Daisuke Jigen himself.
