since there are no new exciting developments from Smart, a little facelift and improvements are enough to thrill us (yes, we are fans of this cute ride). the new 2012 Smart Fortwo sports a bolder look featuring a larger radiator grille with integrated logo, newly sculpted front aprons, horizontally arranged LED daytime driving lights, muscular side skirts, and modified rear aprons. the 2012 models will be offered with a choice of three new alloy wheels and a choice of seven colors, including the new matt anthracite. changes are not restricted to the exterior, the interior also received some tweaks, including a new, high quality interior package in crystal grey, leather/fabric combination for seats and imitation leather/fabric mix for the door trims and black imitation leather on the instrument panel. the new 2012 models will be offered in both coupe and cabriolet version with the same five lines: pure, pulse, passion, BRABUS and BRABUS Xclusive. as usual, the engines are varied and ranges from environment-friendly electric drive and the micro hybrid petrol units through to the more powerful turbo petrol engine to the fuel-efficient cdi turbo diesel unit.
