you have seen the RC Coupe, now meet the F performance model, the 2015 Lexus RC F. beneath that bulging hood just beyond the ferocious fascia lies a 5.0-liter V8 unit that offers over 450 horsepower and more than 383 lb-ft of torque. an eight-speed Sports Direct Shift (SPDS) gearbox, aided by a Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD), puts down the raw grunt to the rear wheels, steadfastly. while no performance figures were offered at this time, it is said that the RC-F is targeted to outrun the IS F for 0-60 mph sprint and will have an electronically limited top speed of 168 mph.
build around a highly rigid body with large cross-section rocker panels with a very stiff front lower brace, the Lexus RC F utilizes coil-spring independent suspension, coupled with monotone gas-filled shock absorbers and ball-jointed stabilizer bars for enhanced handling, while it rolls on 19-inch forged aluminum wheels, wrapped in 275/35 R19 and 255/35/ R19 tires at the rear and up front, respectively. other highlights include an unmistakably sporty, if not ferocious styling fronted by its own version of the Lexus signature spindle grille, massive air intake ducts for front end cooling and aerodynamic advantage, an active rear spoiler on the trunk lid provides down force at speeds of more than 50 mph, a tuned underbody and aero stabilizing fins to further improve the aerodynamic performance.
