Well, I believe Ford knows some of you do and has had its engineers to record the growling exhaust note and turn it into a ringtone for your smartphone. However, unlike the “Active Valve Performance Exhaust” found as an option on the 5L V8-equipped 2018 Ford Mustang GT, which offers driver four exhaust note options, the exhaust note you will be getting will be just the one produced when “track” driving mode is selected. Makes sense. If you want consumers to feel the power, you’d pull the craziest mode, right?
The exhaust note ringtone was announced on Ford Social website which claims that it is available as a free download now, but the thing is, the “free download” directs us to Soundcloud without any means to download. There was no download button, no instructions or whatsoever. So, if you really want the exhaust note as your ringtone, you can try hitting up SoundCloud Downloader or similar sites to grab the file.
