2020 Karma Revero GTS Electric Range Extender

If you are planning to go green with your transportation, but not quite ready to go all the way electric and also has the money to drop, then you may want to take a look at the new 2020 Karma Revero GTS Electric Vehicle.

The Revero GTS is the Southern California electric vehicle maker’s third Revero and it, as the name implies, is a most potent version in the lineup.

2020 Karma Revero GTS Electric Range Extender

Yes. Even better than the GT. Like, obviously, duh. It is not quite a hybrid, btw. It is a range-extender. i.e. it is a battery electric vehicle (BEV) that has an auxiliary power unit (APU) to boost its electric range.

In the case of the Revero GTS, it has a Twin Power Turbo three-cylinder engine that produces electricity for the dual electric motors, providing it with a range of up to 360 miles (about 580 kilometers).

When running on pure electric, its upgraded, 28 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt lithium-ion battery offers an emission-free range of 80 miles (129 kilometers).

There are three drive modes (pure electric, with range extender, and combining output of the generator and electric drive), selectable from the steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.

2020 Karma Revero GTS also touts electric torque vectoring and makes 0-60 (0-92 km/h) in under 3.9 seconds. It has an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph.

Setting it apart from the “lesser” Revero are upgraded interior and exterior that includes carbon fiber trim, proprietary Soloscape 7.1-channel 570W audio system, haptic tactile steering wheel switches and more.

The car will be hand-built in the automaker’s Southern California plant in Q1 2020. 2020 Karma Revero GTS Electric is now available for pre-order at $149,950.
