2024 Audi RS 6 Avant GT

Gone are the days when sports cars meant impracticality. In the past, performance cars were mostly, if not exclusively, two-door vehicles with either two seats or barely comfortable four seats. Even if they could seat four comfortably, there was always the question of cargo space. However, thanks to performance models like the Audi RS Avant, you no longer have to sacrifice seats and cargo space for performance. Speaking of the Audi RS Avant, Audi has recently announced a new high-performing model, the Audi RS 6 Avant GT.

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT, a limited special edition, stands as the zenith of the model series with exclusive features enhancing its prestige. Sporting a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter TFSI V8 engine, it delivers an impressive 630 PS (621 HP) and turns out 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque that affords it a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in just 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h!).

It has an Ultra-Modern weight-relieved body (including carbon hood and fenders), 22-inch wheels, and high-performance Continental “Sport Contact 7” tires for dynamic driving. The interior boasts high-quality bucket seats in a unique color scheme, individual numbering, advanced features like lightweight adjustable coilover suspension, and a reworked quattro sport differential for sharpened driving dynamics.

Priced at £176,975 (US$223,208), only 60 units are earmarked for the U.K. market, with first deliveries starting in Q2. The remaining 600 units will be shared with the rest of the world. However, it is unclear if it will be heading to the U.S., and if yes, how many units are being allocated.

Anyhoo, the RS 6 Avant GT is inspired by the 2020 apprentice project RS 6 GTO concept, drawing from the Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO race car. Exclusive to this model are carbon fiber components, black “RS 6 GT” lettering, motorsport-inspired double wing, and the option for special decals.

Manufactured at Böllinger Höfe, each unit is assembled by hand, ensuring top-notch quality and embodying Audi’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in automotive design.
