If you have been wondering when the 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant will land on the U.S. shores, well, wonder no more because, it is happening. The Audi RS 6 Avant is heading to the U.S. Armed with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 motor that produces 590+ HP and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, and mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission with optimized shift times and new launch control function, the Audi RS 6 Avant readily rockets from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds and achieves a top track speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The power delivered is put to good use on all four wheels – courtesy of quattro permanent all-wheel drive which is further bolstered by wheel-selective torque control that ensures added traction across each axle through individual wheel braking application. It is worthy to note, though, that specs and performance for the Audi RS 6 Avant destined for the U.S. market will only be revealed closer to market launch.
Other deliverables include RS adaptive air suspension with tuned-for-RS 6 Avant controlled damping, six drive modes, progressive steering, dynamic all-wheel steering, wide body (more like broad flared wheel arches, really), 3D RS-specific honeycomb grille, LED headlights, roof edge spoiler, RS-specific bumper with rear diffuser, RS exhaust system with oval chrome tailpipes, and an interior swept with RS accents, a new MMI touch response system and special RS displays that offers all manner of information that any serious driver will want to know.
The 202 Audi RS 6 Avant will land in the U.S. in 2020. That said, it is to too early to know the pricing at this point in time. In the meantime, you can learn more about the all-new Audi RS 6 Avant HERE.
