BMW’s 2025 2 Series Gran Coupe is here, flaunting a polarizing design and a load of upgrades. Stretching 179.2 inches long and standing 56.9 inches tall, this compact sedan brings standard M Sport styling, an illuminated kidney grille option, and a range of metallic hues for all your aesthetic preferences—or grievances.
Under the hood, a revamped 2.0-liter turbocharged engine powers the 228 xDrive with 241 hp and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque, while the M235 xDrive steps it up with 312 hp for a 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) time of 4.7 seconds. Both models feature a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, and for suspension enthusiasts, Adaptive M Suspension is now standard.
Inside, the tech-heavy cabin boasts BMW’s Curved Display running on Operating System 9, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and even in-car gaming via AirConsole. The all-leather-free interior includes heated sports seats, optional massaging features, and ambient lighting to match your mood—or distract from the grille.
Available in March 2025, the 228 xDrive starts at US$41,600, while the M235 xDrive begins at US$49,500. If front-wheel drive tickles your fancy, the 228 sDrive arrives midyear at US$39,600.
