Xbox Lynx Personal Grooming Products

The biggest news out of E3 2019 is not about video games or the hardware for gaming. It was the news of a very unlikely collaboration between Unilever’s Lynx brand and Microsoft Xbox to release a line of personal grooming products. Called Lynx Xbox, the collection includes body spray, deodorant, and shower gel. You know, the usual stuff that any gamer who have put themselves through countless marathon sessions of gaming will need.

Lynx, btw, is the same as Axe. It is just a different name used in some countries, notably, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and China. Having said that, some fans may be sorely disappointed because, Xbox Lynx line of products will only be available in Australia and New Zealand markets. So what kind of scent can you expect from this non-traditional color personal care products?

Well, about that, it is described as “a fresh scent of pulsing green citrus, featuring top notes of kaffir lime and winter lemon, aromatic herbal middle notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clear wood.” In other words, probably not quite the same small you will find on your Xbox, new or old. With a product motto of “Lift Your Game,” the Xbox Lynx Personal Grooming Products are clearly aimed at gamers in mind which makes me think, “are gamers’ ‘smell’ that awful?”

Anywho, official words also indicate that these products contain a range of natural essential oils and come package in sleek new look. Speaking of “look,” I can’t help but to relate the black-white-green packaging to automotive car grooming products. Is anyone thinking the same too?

Xbox Lynx is slated to hit the market starting July in Australia and New Zealand from grocery stores and pharmacies.
