30 years is a big deal, and clearly, you have to make sure you celebrate it twice. Last year, Sony PlayStation celebrated 30 years of PlayStation with the OG gray PlayStation 5 Pro and a bunch of other products for its Japan launch. This year, it celebrated again, this time for its global launch in NA and EU, which happened in 1995.
In addition to a book that is essentially a religious text for devotees, PlayStation has collaborated with Reebok on sneaker designs that pay homage to the original PlayStation console. Not going to lie, the PlayStation x Reebok collection looks absolutely stunning. OK. I may be biased because I am a fan. Anyhow, the collection features three sneakers, each connected to one of the PlayStation’s original launch regions: the InstaPump Fury 94 for Japan, the Pump Omni Zone II for the U.S., and the Workout Plus for the United Kingdom.
This nostalgic crossover doesn’t just slap logos on old sneakers—it injects pure ‘90s console DNA into every stitch. The InstaPump Fury 94 for Japan (¥37,000 JPY) rocks an anniversary gray liner, a tongue label shaped like a memory card, and a “Press Play” pump ball.
The Pump Omni Zone II for the U.S. (US$220.00) features console-colored pump details, metal-tipped laces, and those iconic circle-triangle-square X dubraes for button-mashing nostalgia.
Meanwhile, the U.K.’s Workout Plus (£150.00 GBP) brings the same energy with its own set of console-inspired touches and internal arch band—because comfort is king, even when you’re reliving your CRT gaming glory days.
Each sneaker ships in special packaging that mirrors the original PlayStation console box, complete with a gray palette and cable-style details. It’s not footwear—it’s footwear with save data.
The PlayStation x Reebok 30th Anniversary Collection drops mid-October across select retailers in the U.S., Japan, and the U.K. Limited quantities only, so lace up before the loading screen ends.
