Baz Luhrmann’s ELVIS Official Trailer

Elvis was huge and he certainly deserved a movie that talked about his life. Well, you know what. It is finally happening. Imagine that. An actual movie about the king of rock and roll!

The movie, simply titled ELVIS, is directed by multiple award-winning director Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby) and stars Austin Butler as the title character and Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker.

The project was first announced in April 2014 but it was not until March 2019 that some of the key details like the casting of key characters, the director, and screenwriters were confirmed.

Filming began two years ago at the beginning of the pandemic. Fast forward to today, we finally get to see the first official trailer. Not going to lie. I am pretty psyched. Keep going for the said trailer. Baz Luhrmann’s ELVIS will hit the theaters on June 24, 2022.
