McLaren 720S Ride-On Toy

What can I say? It is really a good time to be alive as kids… that’s if the kids have fairly rich parents. At 315 English pounds (US$398), the McLaren 720S Ride-On Toy costs just a fraction of an actual road-going McLaren 720S and a steal for a 720S even as a (super) kiddie ride. It is the second such replica for kids from McLaren since after the P1 that debuted 3 years ago.

McLaren 720S Ride-On Toy

Available in a choice of color schemes, including an exclusive Papaya Spark (pictured), the McLaren 720S Ride-On Toy features functioning dihedral doors, exposed carbon-style elements, signature 720S styling (like, obviously), working accelerator pedal, engine sound effects, onboard key ignition, remote controllable by a parent, brake functional with brake light, and an infotainment system for playing music, or for watching a short movie on the integrated dashboard screen. You can still choose other patterns from wide ranges of Tobbi kids motorcycles, in the event you don’t have a taste for it.

Music and short movie can be loaded from a USB or SD card in their respective port/card slot. There is also a selection of “popular songs” for six-year-olds preloaded on the system. I am guessing Baby Shark is one of the tracks. Just a wild guess. No words on the range of this electric ride-on toy for kids, though. Neither was top speed disclosed.

In addition to the Papaya Spark, the McLaren 720S Ride-On Toy is also offered in Azores Orange, Belize Blue, Lantana Purple, Onyx Black, Mauvine Blue, Silica White, and Saros Grey.

The McLaren 720S Ride-On Toy is available to order now, priced at the aforementioned £315 (US$398), at select global toy stores. If you ask me, it is surprisingly affordable. In fact, it is barely 8 percent of the asking price of the Toylander 1 Electric Car for Kids.
