It is that time of year again when Marshall reaches into the Chinese zodiac drawer and gives its gear a festive makeover. For Lunar New Year 2026, the brand is not stopping at one collectible flex but two. This year’s celebration lands on the Year of the Horse, and Marshall marks the occasion with special-edition versions of the Emberton III speaker and the Studio 900 Combo amplifier. Both are dressed up by Chinese artist FCCK, and damn, it looks like Marshall is nudging its products deeper into collectible territory. I mean, if you started the zodiac series, it makes sense to keep going. Maybe?
This is the fourth year running that Marshall has teamed up with a Chinese artist for Lunar New Year, and this time the baton goes to FCCK, a Chengdu-based designer, illustrator, and artist known for bold visuals and controlled chaos—the complete opposite of last year’s, which was a welcome change. The theme pulls from the phrase “脱缰野马,” or a wild horse throwing off its reins, which fits Marshall’s rock-and-roll DNA a little too well. The result is artwork that feels energetic, unruly, and unapologetically loud.
The Emberton III Lunar New Year Edition gets a first for the line with a hand-applied water transfer print on its matte silicone sleeve. The process allows the artwork to float and wrap organically, meaning no two speakers look exactly the same. It keeps the Emberton III’s familiar portable form and 360-degree sound presentation, just with a lot more visual attitude.
Over on the heavier side of things, the Studio 900 Combo Lunar New Year Edition takes the same Year of the Horse artwork and stamps it onto a compact amplifier built around Marshall’s punchy 90s-era tone. It delivers the same crunch, clarity, and studio-friendly performance, only now it looks ready for a Lunar New Year stage setup.
