If you need a laptop that will not break the bank, then you will want to check out the new CTL Chromebook NL72 Series. Three models are being offered: NL72, NL72T and NL72TW, with the NL72T powered by Intel Jasper Lake dual-core N4500 processor and the NL72TW powered by Jasper Lake Quadcore Intel 5100 processor.
For those who don’t already know, Jasper Lake chip is the chipmaker’s 10 nm process low-powered chip destined for NUCs. While it will not make any land speed record, it should be more than powerful; enough for streaming media, fast web surfing and multitasking with multiple apps and open tabs, which are what Chromebooks are mainly used for anyways.
Touting up to 35% more power over the Gemini Lake Refresh predecessors, both Chromebook NL72 series further boasts Wi-Fi 6, 11.6-inch screen, Intel UMA graphics, USB interface HD camera with LED indicator and rotational camera, 2 USB ports, audio jack, 2-in-1 card reader, up to 8 GB LPDDR4x-2933 SDRAM and 64 GB eMMC storage, and IP42 rated design with tough build that has been drop tested to 70 cm (2.3′).
The CTL Chromebook NL72 and NL72T are available in non-touch and touchscreen clamshell models, and the NL72TW is offered with a touchscreen panel. And the price? Starting at just US$289.
