Remember Parksible Smart Garage? A die-cast model car display in the form of a smart garage? Well, Tomica also has one, too. From Tomica+, the Automated Parking with Showroom, as it is called, is Tomica’s take on a dynamic 1:64 die-cast model car display presented as an automated parking system paired with a dealer showroom. To call it a display would be an understatement. This thing is essentially a diorama.
With room for up to 23 Tomica cars, the system uses a remote control to move your prized models in and out of parking spaces with smooth, mechanical precision. The whole process is accompanied by dramatic LED lighting with 10 color patterns, while a built-in demo mode continuously shuffles the cars around like a miniature luxury dealership showing off its latest inventory. It even comes with an exclusive Tomica Premium Nissan GT-R NISMO Special Edition and five tiny figures to help bring your little automotive world to life.
If parking your collection wasn’t enough, Tomica also has something for those who cannot resist tinkering with their rides. Meet Tomica Custom Works, or simply CW, a new line that lets collectors play backyard tuner without needing a toolbox.
Think of it as Tomica’s answer to Hot Wheels Elite 64 Mod Shop, albeit in a simpler form. Each die-cast lets you swap wheel sets, adjust the ride height, and, on selected models, “bolt” on a rear wing. The debut lineup includes two Nissan Silvia (S14) models and two Honda NSXs. The latter proved so popular that both colors have already sold out during pre-orders on Takara Tomy Mall, but we noticed that they are still available for pre-order on Amazon Japan. Not only that, there’s an option to buy a set of 4 for 8,580 yen (tax included) [JP] (~52 USD).
All models boast opening doors as standard. The NSX models further rock an opening rear windshield.
The Tomica+ Automated Parking with Showroom is available to pre-order now for 41,800 yen (tax included) [JP] (~256 USD), with deliveries expected in September. Meanwhile, Tomica Custom Works models retail for 2,640 yen (tax included) [JP] (~16 USD) each and are scheduled to begin shipping on September 19, 2026.
