Amazon has revealed new innovations aimed at improving customer deliveries. We are talking about the use of drones for delivery – specifically air delivery drones. Following up on last year’s reveal of the MK30 prototype air delivery drone, Amazon has offered the first look at its latest air delivery drone.
Set to be launched in 2024, the MK30 features custom-designed propellers that reduce perceived noise by almost half, and it is lighter and smaller too. In addition, it can now fly twice as far and it can operate in more diverse weather conditions, including light rain.
In related news, Amazon also revealed it is expanding drone deliveries in a third U.S. state as well as international expansion into Italy and the U.K. by the end of 2024. There was another exciting announcement. Amazon has also revealed the new Amazon Pharmacy medication delivery via drone.
Residents of College Station, Texas who qualify can enjoy the convenience of having their prescriptions delivered to their doorsteps by Amazon Pharmacy drones in under an hour, and gain access to a wide selection of over 500 commonly prescribed medications.
