Well, what do you know? We have another exhaust tailpipe-inspired speaker from Porsche. You are not seeing things. What you see here is essentially the same as the Porsche 911 Speaker 2.0 we saw a while back but this one has the celebratory mark on it.
Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the legendary 911 sports car, the new Porsche 911 Speaker 2.0 60Y 911 – Limited Edition is everything the Porsche 911 Speaker 2.0 in terms of design, i.e. it is based on the tailpipe trim of the Porsche 911 GT3 (992) but with a few subtle tweaks, plus it is strictly limited to 1,963 units.
This celebratory model differentiates itself from the regular model with 911 lettering on the top of the tailpipe, silver trim with the inscription ‘One of 1,963’, before rounding up with an embossed Limited Edition badge on the round base.
Beyond the cosmetics, these sleek Bluetooth Speakers feature Bluetooth 5.0, and Qualcomm aptX HD technology to deliver clear and precise sound. The offers a max system output of 60-watt, touts NFC technology, and has a battery life of up to 16 hours.
It comes with an equally stylish transport case, in the event you want to bring it with you on the road.
The new Porsche 911 Speaker 2.0 60Y 911 – Limited Edition is available now for US$665 which to my surprise is just 15 bucks premium over the standard issue.
