Armani Exchange Connected Smartwatch

Last September, Fossil Group’s Armani Exchange formally hopped onto the fashion smartwatch bandwagon with its first-ever touchscreen smartwatch, simply known as A|X Armani Exchange Connected smartwatch. It looks just like another timepiece from A|X, TBH, but obviously, this being a smartwatch, it has more to offer than just look and time-telling.

The watch may have been revealed a few months ago, but man, it sure packs some up-to-date features include a heart rate sensor, NFC for contactless payment, built-in GPS and water resistant up to 30 meters (100 feet). The only thing catch is, it is driven by the older Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 platform, not the new 3100 as found on the 2nd-gen LV Tambour Horizon.

Other features include a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, a 300 mAh battery good for 2 days use in between charges, a fairly large 46 mm case, support Google Assistant, and the smart timepiece is, of course, powered by Google’s Wear OS.

At times, I can’t help but to wonder if there’s a design stock inventory where these designer labels have access to for designing a smartwatch because, most of the smartwatches seem to pack the same features – right down to the water resistant rating. I mean, I am just throwing out there. Not that it is true. It can’t be true, right, right?

Anyways, A|X Armani Exchange Connected is available for a surprisingly inexpensive $295. I have to say the design of the Armani Exchange Connected Smartwatch is not for everyone. Personally, the smartest looking smartwatch so far would be the Skagen Falster 2 which the Fossil Group revealed a month before it took the wrap of the A|X model.
