This is 2019, so luxury/fashion smartwatches aren’t news anymore. Not that luxury/fashion smartwatch is a bad thing, btw. On contrary, we think it is probably the greatest favor any fashion brand has done for themselves since like, well, nothing. Because, you’d be paying not just the brand, but also more functionality, if you get what I mean. Speaking of smartwatches, if anyone care to know, here’s a new one from Louis Vuitton, the 2019 Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon.
Key features expected include a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 processor, 1 GB RAM, a circular 1.2-inch AMOLED touch display (390 x 390 resolution), a 300 mAh battery for an all-day use (or up to 5 days if in watch-only mode), 43 mm case with polished steel crown (with LV logo), sapphire glass with white color LV logo, black sapphire glass case back, water resistance up to 30 meters (100 feet), interchangeable straps with stainless steel ardillon buckle, NFC for contactless payment, Bluetooth 4.2, built-in WiFi (802.11b/g/n), gyroscope and ambient light sensor, built-in microphone, and support for Google’s voice assistant, Google Assistant.
The 2nd-gen LV smartwatch will be powered by Google’s Wear OS, and like almost all smartwatches, the dial face is customizable too. We read that there are two models: Pure White and a Pure White & Diamonds, with the latter packing a cool 34 diamonds, but we only saw one Pure White model on its US web store, along with three other varieties.
So, what’s the price you are looking at? Well, about that… the Pure White model of the updated Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon commands a heart-stopping $4,450. Yikes. But you won’t know if you heart has stopped because, this particular piece has no heart rate sensor. Just saying… Anyways, as for the rest of the line up, you are looking at anything from $2,550 to $3,085.
