Avegant, a company developing next-generation display technology for AR, has announced a collaboration with Qualcomm and Applied Materials for an AI Smart Glass Design.
Avegant, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., and Applied Materials, Inc. are collaborating to develop a new generation of lightweight, wireless AI smart glasses, featuring the Snapdragon AR1 Platform announced in October 2023. This innovative design, currently under evaluation by Fortune 100 companies, integrates Avegant’s compact AG-30L2 LCoS light engine, Applied Materials’ high-efficiency waveguides, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 Platform to deliver a sleek, glasses-like form factor capable of full-color, binocular, bright daylight experiences.
The collaboration aims to revolutionize the AR smart glasses market by combining stylish design with powerful technology for everyday wear. Products are expected to hit the market soon, promising exciting advancements in AR technology.
