Danish premium audio equipment maker, Bang & Olufsen, has just introduced a couple of new wireless in-ear headphones (or earphones, if you will) designed with active lifestyle (read: gym hitters, workout fanatics) in mind. The duo are Beoplay E6 Motion and Beoplay E8 Motion. The latter should not be confused with the updated Beoplay E8 True Wireless Earbuds we saw earlier this year, though they look somewhat similar aesthetically.
The E8 Motion is a true wireless earbuds that comes with a sleek, Qi-certified wireless charging case that offers three full charges, affording up to 16 hours of on-the-go use (though it can be charged with the included USB-A-to-micro USB cable too). The charging case is outfitted with a 365 mAh li-ion battery and charges earphones in around 2 hours.
Features include a built-in omnidirectional microphone, 5.7 mm electro-dynamic drivers, tuned by B&O sound engineers, works with app to match sound profile to your activity, rechargeable 85/60 mAh (right/left) lithium-ion batteries for up to 4 hours of playtime, 1x multi-function touch interface button on each earbud, Bluetooth 4.2 with support for AAC codecs, and an aluminum and leather construction with IP54 rating.
The Beoplay E6 Motion, on the other hand, is not a true wireless earbuds. It has a cable that run across the two earbuds, but for the inconvenience caused, it’d be getting a tad longer battery life of 5 hours. Like products of similar nature, it comes with tiny magnets to let you connect two ends to form a necklace of sort around the neck when you are not using it.
Other features include silicone ear fins, in-line anodized aluminum three-button remote, voice assistant compatible, omnidirectional/MEMS microphone, 6.4 mm electro-dynamic drivers (also, obviously, tuned by B&O sound engineers), Bluetooth 4.2 with support for AAC and aptX codecs, and premium materials construction with IP54 rating.
