Want to have some good old arcade fun without any digital devices? If you do, then you will want to check out Block’em Pop’em Woodbots by Broke Deck Creations. So what exactly is Block’em Pop’em Woodbots? Well, think of it as a one-to-one arcade fighting game played out using your “avatar”.

The “avatar” here is much like a wooden drawing mannequin, except that the parts are in blocks. There are opposing woodbots, both without any support. Each player will manipulate one woodbot using two control rods. The control rods let you control the overall body movement and position, as well as the arms which allow you to block, swing, and stab.

Each set comes with 2 or more interchangeable weapons. Players will secure an inflated balloon on their respective woodbot. The objective is to burst the opponent’s balloon. I don’t know about you but it sure sounds like a ton of fun! You may visit Broke Deck Creations’ IG page to see the woodbots in action.

The Block’em Pop’em Woodbots is the original creation. It is handmade in a choice of three materials: pine with other woods, partial skateboards, and mostly skateboards.

There are a few variants too, including a set that has magnetically attached ball heads instead of balloons. The set, called Block’em Knock’em Woodbots, will be perfect for players who are freaked out by popping balloons, kids, and pet owners.

Broke Deck Creations woodbot set is patent-pending, btw, and all products are handmade and are mostly made out of recycled skateboard decks. It is made to order, so be prepared to wait up to 6 weeks for your unit.

But before you jump on it, be warned that this does not come cheap. The original Block’em Pop’em Woodbots start at US$270 and the Block’em Knock’em Woodbots start at US$200.
