as car lovers, we appreciate both the aesthetic of the car, as well as its inner workings. where the inner working specifics are not known, we will still ogle over what pleases our eyes and one such example is the BMW Zagato Coupe. yes. BMW has collaborated with famous Italian coach builder, Zagato to develop this one-off beautiful example that graced the BMW-sponsored Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, held at the shores of Lake Como in northern Italy. however, what goes under the hood is anybody’s guess at this point in time and despite the Zagato Coupe being an one-off concept, it is a complete road-legal car that has underwent high-speed testing at BMW’s own test circuit. visually, the Zagato Coupe fuses both marques design elements, of which includes, a long bonnet fronted by the iconic twin-kidney shape grille with mesh made up of many small Zagato’s Z, a subtle double-bubble roof for added rigidity, 19-inch light alloy wheels inspired by propeller, an exclusive Rosso Vivace paint job that appears differently depending on how the light hits the vehicle, and an interior conjured up by BMW, splashed in light and dark shades of grey, accented with contrasting red stitching. it is indeed a shame that BMW does not let the world in on its detail specifications (but its an rear-wheel drive coupe, alright) but nevertheless, we would not let the chance of ogling over this beautiful example passes us, for which you could join us in this ogle-feast with the gallery available after the break.
