Bose SoundSport Free Wireless In-ear Headphones

Wireless in-ear headphones aren’t new at all and like many overly common products, we tend to skip them unless it has some worthy mentions. However, when the Bose SoundSport Free surfaced, we are obliged to let you know just to remind everyone how freaking hideous Apple AirPods is. Long before Bose came onboard the wireless earbuds bandwagon with SoundSport, already several independent makers have already did so. Seriously, independent makers. You know what that means? It means they are mostly start ups with little budget.

Apple, on the other hand? A multi billion dollars corporation, but can’t do shit when it comes to wireless earbuds. OK, enough of my rant on AirPods (again). Anywho, SoundSport is the latest addition to Bose’s wireless stable and as the product name suggests, it is marketed as an active person’s music gear which means it has a rugged built, sweat and weather resistance to stand up to the rigor of your workout routines. It has an iPX4 rating, btw, so don’t really need to shy away from moisture when you are doing your things.

This being an active person’s earbuds, it naturally touts a comfortable wear and secure fit with the included hear+ Sport tips and as Bose, it promised to deliver clear, powerful sound. However, as before with any Bose’s products, no details on what drives are disclosed. What we do know is, it is powered by lithium-ion battery that offers up to 5 hours of playback per 2-hour charge and it comes with a beautiful charging case that can provide up to another 10 hours of usage, in addition to serving as a storage case for the earbuds.

One finer detail which deserve a mention is that the charging case actually has magnetic properties that will hold the earbuds in place, so they won’t go flying around in the event of you handling little rougher than you should. Finally, like all things today, it is app-enabled. With the Bose Connect App, you can locate misplaced wireless earbuds using a feature call “find my buds” which will show you the last item and place the wireless in-ear headphones were used. And you will want this feature in your life because, you won’t want to be misplacing a $249 investment, do you?
