Casio’s latest MR-G Frogman takes inspiration from the eerie polar brinicle phenomenon and turns it into a titanium luxury dive watch limited to 800 pieces worldwide.

Casio looked at one of the strangest things in nature—a polar brinicle, basically an underwater ice death spiral—and somehow turned it into a luxury G-Shock. Meet the new MRG-BF1000EB, a special MR-G FROGMAN created for the line’s 30th anniversary.

The watch features a hand-finished COBARION bezel with swirling facet cuts inspired by the icy phenomenon, complete with blue ion plating and even lab-grown blue sapphires set into the front screws. Because a dive watch this tough could use a little bling, the timepiece way.

Limited to just 800 pieces worldwide, the watch also includes an interchangeable titanium bracelet, ISO 200 m (656 ft) diver rating, Bluetooth connectivity, Tough Solar charging, and a special Proteca-designed presentation case.

It is set to drop in June (though no exact date) with a yet to be announced pricing.
