finally, two giant in their respective field has come together to create the ultimate in smartphone case and digital camera. well, not really. it is however, a concept product conceived by design house Black Design Associates to effort to “combine two great products”. dubbed the LEICA for iPhone 4, it is a conceptual camera case for iPhone that not only protects the iPhone but also enhances the photography experience.

the Leica i9 is not purely aesthetic but it is a fully functional digital camera that enables the docked iPhone to be equipped with “compact optical zoom, dedicated aperture and shutter dials, flash and light meter.” while taking advantage of the iPhone 4’s power, gorgeous display and rich features. don’t get too excited just yet. you may have missed the keyword here, which is ‘concept’. yeah, the Leica i9 is a concept which i am certain that both iPhonegraphy fanatics and Leica fans will want one. so will Apple or Leica buy this concept? i certainly hope so.
