Coolpad Legacy Android Smartphone

Have you heard about Coolpad? No? Neither have we, but I think you should know about this smartphone brand, especially if affordability is the key consideration when buying a smartphone. That said, Coolpad has a new “flagship” smartphone called Legacy that is now selling in the U.S. for, wait for this… just $129.99 (!). Looking at the price, obviously, you don’t expect it to be the kind of flagship like, say, OnePlus 7 Pro. I’d say it is a flagship of budget smartphones.

While the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform that powers it is not by any means ‘flagship’, the rest of the specifications is actually not shabby at all. For starter, It has a large, notch-less 6.36-inch FHD+ touch display, and it has 3 GB of RAM and a 32 GB onboard storage that can be further expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card.

Other notables include Android 9.0 Pie, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a dual camera main snapper (16 + 5 MP) and a 13 MP selfie camera, 1080p/30fps video recording, fingerprint sensor, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2, 4G LTE radio, and a 4,000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

Coolpad Legacy is now available from Metro by T-Mobile retail stores in the U.S. for the aforementioned $129.99. Man. I still can’t get over that one can actually pick up a brand new smartphone with decent specs and not look ugly at 130 bucks.

Maybe I am outdated or what. I was expecting a thick bezel device, but clearly, Legacy does not have that. It definitely has an edge-to-edge display, save for the thick top and chin.
