With Spider-Man: Brand New Day having officially crossed the US$2 billion mark at the global box office, it is safe to say the movie has its fans. And if you are one of them, I am sure this Crocs x Spider-Man Brand New Day collection would be of interest to you.
Before we get into this… can I just say I did not know that Spider-Man is sticky all over, including his butt? I mean, how else could he have sat upside down on a steel beam, right?
Anywho, back to the collaborative collection. There’s nothing particularly outstanding in this collection, IMHO. The collection basically includes Spider-Man-themed Classic Clogs and a pair of Neo Classic Clogs. I don’t understand why the Classic Clogs with the same design are listed multiple times, though.
The Spider-Man Classic Clog recreates the superhero’s classic suit with a red webbed upper, dimensional masked eyes, and a contrasting blue sole. It retains the usual lightweight, water-friendly construction, ventilation holes, and pivoting heel strap, which can be decorated with Jibbitz charms. The same design is also available for kids and toddlers.
Meanwhile, the Spider-Man Neo Classic Clog gets a darker, maroon-ish colorway with a stretchy neoprene cover wrapping around the upper and heel. Spider-Man’s web pattern and logo sit prominently on top, while the pivoting heel strap provides the Jibbitz holes because the covered upper has, you know, officially declared itself a charm-free zone.
Then there is the Spider-Man Classic Backpack, featuring dimensional Spider-Man eyes over a printed web pattern. It has a main compartment, an expandable side pocket for a water bottle, a front pocket, and an exterior padded compartment that fits a 15- or 16-inch laptop. Naturally, the front and padded shoulder straps have Jibbitz holes, along with an exclusive Spider-Man rivet.
The backpack measures 17.5 by 12.5 by 6.5 inches (44.5 by 31.8 by 16.5 cm) and even has a treaded base modeled after Crocs footwear. There is also a button pin and, of course, Jibbitz.
